This MCC Ed Tech Update is designed to keep you informed and to provide the tools you need to best utilize technology in your classroom.

Upcoming Changes to PowerTeacher Gradebook

Changes are coming to PowerSchool! Probably the biggest change is that the long awaited web-based version of Gradebook is scheduled for release in March.

Other changes include:

  • Embedded training videos
  • The ability to group classes and assign the same item to both classes at the same time
  • More robust and flexible reporting with the addition of Oracle reports
  • The ability to subscribe to a report and have it emailed to you at regular intervals
  • An "At Risk" dashboard that will identify students with color-coding who are considered at risk based on grades and/or attendance

We'll be looking for teachers to test the new web-based version of gradebook, so please let me know ASAP if you're interested. I need to submit names to the MAISD for the first wave of training.
