What was the change?
The Scientific Revolution was the change in the way people viewed the universe and their environment. This brought about great desire for imagination, as for simple commoners began questioning everything that came about. It was a great day in age of major questioning, which in the future lead to a great method we still use to this current day and age. This was a time from 1550-1700 that Europe experienced a Scientific Revolution.
Who were the people associated with the change?
Major Contributors to the Scientific Revolution
Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton is a major contributor because his discovery lead to great periods of science empowerment and progression. Issac Newton discovers the theory of Gravity. In which now scientist are now able to explain the occasions of certain probabilities that we experience now.
Copernicus
Copernicus was a great intellectual and supported a cause to the theory of orbital information. Copernicus comes up with the theory of a Helio-Centric based orbit. Copernicus believed that the sun was the center of the universe and everything around it orbited the sun, including the earth.
Galileo
Galileo was one of the great scientist of the scientific revolution, because his contribution lead to many more great discoveries. As other discoveries would have never been able to be made without Galileo. Galileo invents the scientific telescope and the scientific method. Thus one of the biggest contributors to the revolution, as the scientific method is still used everyday.
How did the change impact society at the time?
The scientific revolution lead to so many advances in the science realm, that people started to question and to doubt everything in existence. Society had to be controlled and convinced in every theory that came about, and greater minds came about from the influence of that time period. Commoner's began to doubt intelligence of officials, schools around and institutions in the area were questioned heavily about what they had to offer. But besides the questioning and reasoning. The major contributor's were able to start the steps to so much more capabilities that current society are making now.
How is that change evidence in today's modern society?
The change is evident in current society by one of the biggest theories we use today, called the scientific method. We use this method to find out about certain experiments we want to test out, to find the basis of originating issues. We use the telescope today as we have added modern technology, which has made the telescope acquire great achievements, such as the Hubble telescope that is stationed in our orbit. The theory of gravity has proven more than plenty times a great asset for explaining issues, and also a great tool for experimentation and the formula in which gravity is calculated. All of these contributions are major factor's in today's society.
