Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at AIS

Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at AIS

During semester one of their Service Learning class, 4e (8th grade) students engaged in the theme of safe and strong communities. After weeks of socratic discussions around this theme, 4e students decided to focus the issues of justice, equality/equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). As a result, they launched the first iteration of the AISJEDI.com website and created JEDI Quest Days to engage younger schoolmates in exploring these important themes. This week, the students and their teachers would like share with the AIS community a video of some of their reflections about engaging in this important global topic. In honor of their work this semester, Mr. Jacques has donated 26 books to the AIS library centered on the JEDI themes. Bravo à toutes et à tous !

10th Annual Gala Tickets on Sale thru 2/6

We are moving our annual celebration online this year and look forward to celebrating virtually as a community on February 20, 2021 beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets and sponsorships on sale until 2/6.

The gala will include a silent auction filled with amazing experiences and swag. This year, our live auction will include great vacation packages, and our raise the paddle donation portion supports scholarship funding for our faculty's children.

We have some great sponsorship benefits including charcuterie platters with homemade jams, crackers, and bread; bottles of wine; and warm Tiff's Treats to enjoy from home while participating in our program! Plus, we will have a mixology demonstration to go along with our Gala signature cocktail kit, music, and more! This year, alumni, friends, and family members across the country or globe can also join in through our Friends of AIS ticket, so thank you for helping to spread the word.

Gala Wine Collection

Thank you to all our families who donated wine for our class wine cellars! We have some amazing selections. If it slipped your mind this week, you may bring one on Monday or Tuesday of next week - especially for the following classes: MS, CP1, CP2, CM1, CM2a, & CM2b. Thank you!

  • Pick your favorite bottle of wine or bubbly.
  • Sign the bottle with a sharpie to include your family name, class, and if you would like, a dedication. Ex: "Cheers! From the Johnson Family-5e"
  • Pass the bottle off at morning drop-off the week of 1/25 to 1/29
  • Bid away on remarkable wine cellars during our virtual gala!
  • Winners will be able to pick up the wine from campus the last week in February.
