Lady Spartan Basketball Team writes School History
The Lady Spartans made school history by playing in the State Quarterfinals last Saturday.
The Lady Spartans' season came to an end with a 60-34 loss against Vashon.
The Lady Spartans were back-to-back Conference champs, District champs for the first time in twelve years, and Sectional champs for the first time ever! Many congratulations are offered to the coaches, players, and families for their commitment of time and dedication to the team.
JROTC Robotics lands in VEX Final 4
Last weekend, the Moberly Middle School JROTC Robotics team attended the Middle School VEX Robotics State Championships at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. The team consists of Gage Ferguson, Zoe Mudd, Austin Kitchen, and Marshall Dixson.
After the qualification matches, the MMS team ranked 4 out of 26 teams; the team made it to the semifinals in the elimination tournament!
Making it to the final four at the State level is a great way to finish the program's founding season!
The team was also awarded the Inspire Award. This is an award given to the team who displays outstanding leadership among their peers and cooperative learning throughout the season.
Sponsor Kate Horstmann shared, "I am very proud of our students. They exceeded our expectations for our district's first year in competitive robotics. I can't wait to see how this team grows and achieves more great things within the program. We are also very thankful for all of the supporters within the school and community."
