Week of May 17, 2021
Week of May 17th - 21st, 2021
While the CDC made a change to mask-wearing for fully vaccinated people, the Archdiocese and our school will have no changes to COVID protocols and policies through this school year. Masks and social distancing are required for ALL people who are on our property or in the school.
We are in the process of getting a "Vaccine Bus" (with the help of the Archdiocese of Chicago) set up to help with vaccinating our students who are over 12 years old, our families, and the greater community. More information will be sent as soon as I have the dates. Getting vaccinated is how we get back to our new normal. At this point, students 12 and over are not required to get vaccinated. 95% of the adults in our building are fully vaccinated!
Registration still remains at the top of the list. As we return to full in-person instruction for the 2021-2022 school year, seats are limited. At this point, no deposit is needed to get your child's seat reserved; we will add it to the contract for later payment The first step will be to complete the registration Google form. Please click the link here. We do have some classrooms which will have a waiting list in the next weeks.
Registered students for the 21-22 school year may dress down Friday, May 21, 28th, and the last day of school June 4th. As a reminder, there is no extended day on June 4th. All students will go home at 2 pm.
After families complete the Google registration form, the packet with more extensive paperwork will be emailed out. Please return those as soon as possible. Contracts will follow. Thanks for your patience as we get those prepared.
Registration is open to new families, too. Do you know a new family, especially a preschool or kindergarten family? You will receive a $300 referral credit for any new family that registers! We are looking to enroll new preschoolers and kindergarteners for next year! Do you know anyone with 3, 4, or 5-year-olds? You could receive a special referral credit resulting in not having to do any PAWS for the 21-22 school year (carryover PAWS not included)! Let us know.
Please remember that students do need to be in uniform and following the dress code in relation to shoes, hair, and fingernails. Unless it's a dress-down day, jeans are not allowed. Please refer to your family handbook linked here. See pages 24 and 25. Martinelli's will be having a uniform sale this summer. We have been a bit more lenient this year, due to COVID, regarding uniforms. We will require a proper uniform every day next school year - including shoes & jewelry.
For the remainder of the school year, students will enter the school at the main doors upon arrival. If you are escorting your child to the main entrance, please be sure you are wearing a mask. Our goal is to keep everyone safe!
The school office is open from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Please call the office to make an appointment before stopping in. PAW donations may be dropped off between 9-1:30 or 2:30-3:30.
Sweatshirts Are Still Available
The following days are #BEKIND shirt days:
June 2 is the last big #BEKIND party.
Please wear any school kind shirt with their uniform bottoms or jeans - no leggings. If your child needs a new #BEKIND shirt, they're available in the office for $10.
As a reminder, all students should wear gym shoes daily to school. Scandals are not allowed as they aren't safe for playing!
While we know that these are very challenging times, the financial health of the school is important to its longevity. We thank all of you for your prompt payments.
As we move into the last weeks of this school year, student accounts must be paid so that report cards are sent home, students in graduating classes may participate in all activities, and the school stays healthy financially.
Students will be excluded from in-person and online learning unless we have a plan with you or the account is cleared - including PAWS. Please call the office if you have any questions!
We value you and your family!
