Principal's Message
Dear Fammatre Families,
I hope you all were able to enjoy some rest and relaxation away from screens during the winter break. I treasured the time I was able to spend hiking, cooking, and playing board games with my immediate family.
Dr. Andrews sent a communication earlier today, letting us know that the California Department of Public Health is expected to release new information/guidelines tomorrow based on Governor Newsom’s Safe Schools for All Plan. As such, this evening’s CSD Board Meeting has been canceled to allow time to evaluate how these new guidelines will impact school reopening plans. The next CSD School Board Meeting will be Thursday, January 14 at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, January 12th at 4:00 pm I will be hosting Principal Coffee via Zoom. At that time I will share any known updates with respect to Fammatre’s reopening plans. Please complete this RSVP form https://forms.gle/GMQQMmRMoWZaTsxcA letting me know if you plan on attending and any questions you might have.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate this complicated and historic chapter in education together.
Warmly,
Jackie Smith

On Going Events & Information
US Department of Agriculture Extends Free Meal Programs for the Entire School Year
Free brown bag meals are available for pickup at Price Middle School, Monday through Friday from 11 am-1 pm. Daily service provides lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. Friday service also provides breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday and breakfast for Monday. These meals are free to every child aged 18 and younger. You do not need to show any ID and children do not need to be present to receive meals.
Applications to apply for subsidized meal programs are available online at https://family.titank12.com. These applications not only provide access to much-needed benefits for our families; they also serve as a data point used to generate additional revenues we rely on as a District. For this reason, we encourage all of our families to complete the application process even if they may not elect to participate in the meal program. This will ensure we are maximizing our revenue opportunities which will allow us to continue offering excellent educational programs that make us Cambrian. We look forward to continuing to serve our students and provide an important home to school link for our students.

Please contact the Food Services office at 408-559-0273 with any questions.
Cambrian Students Need Your Support
Due to chronic state underfunding, declining enrollment, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cambrian School District is facing a budget deficit. Since early 2019, the District has been assessing potential district-owned land development opportunities to create additional on-going, annual revenue to sustain our award-winning programs.
You can help PROTECT STUDENT PROGRAMS by supporting the "Support Our Students" land development initiative. Thirty seconds of your time can help generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in ongoing, annual revenue without increasing taxes in the community. CEF Read-A-Thon Bingo
- Students can fill out by getting 5 in a row or filling the entire card.
- Once you have filled in 5 in a row or the entire card, you may turn in your Read-A-Thon Bingo Cards. You may scan and email them to Mrs. Perry (perryc@cambriansd.com) who will print them out.
