PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Families,
We are off to a busy and productive fall season. Our students and staff have spent the first five weeks of school getting to know each other and our learning environments. Our students were recently introduced to the large outdoor recess games, which they seem to be enjoying. These games have been an exercise of playing with a buddy and asking friends to play along. Students have demonstrated positive Hawk pride as they play these games with their peers. I know how much of this is because of the continuous efforts of our staff and parents to encourage our students to follow the four Haynes School rules: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Be Kind.
Thank you for continuing to build a positive sense of community through our partnership in supporting one another for the sake of our students.
Sincerely,
Nadine Ekstrom, Ph.D.
Interim Principal
Thank you
We want to thank HOP for the amazing appreciation breakfast this month. The staff are so grateful for the wonderful gesture and thoughtfulness that went into the preparation and presentation.
This Week's HAWK STARS!
Each day, students are granted the opportunity to receive Hawk Sightings, which are acknowledgments that they have gone above and beyond in supporting our school rules. Their name goes into a grade level jar, and one person is selected from each grade level to represent the weekly HAWK STAR. We are very proud of these students.
At this week's ALL School meeting, we introduced the large recess games. The students were excited to begin using them at recess.
Pokemon Cards
Dear Parents,
We need to respectfully ask you to reinforce that Pokemon cards are NOT to come to school. This is causing a large distraction in the classrooms, and issues for the bus drivers on the way to school and home. Your support in this request is greatly appreciated by all staff and administration. We thank you for your understanding and support on this issue.

Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found collection is growing!
Please be sure to label all of your student's personal belongings. We check items that land in Lost & Found regularly and attempt to reconnect items with your children. As the colder season arrives, please label all outerwear, including boots - you'd be surprised to see how many single mittens and boots we collect!
Thank you!
