PTO Spring Fundraiser
The PTO will be having a Family Bingo Night on Friday, April 12. In addition to offering bingo and each class creating a basket for a silent auction, they are also asking that our staff donate special events that can be auctioned off. I am asking that we offer at least one special event per teaching team. If your event includes food, you would need to do it 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after school or have the students meet you off campus (I have seen a group of teachers offer an ice cream party at Orange Leaf from 4:30-5:15 on a specific date). If off campus, the parents would have to drive the students to the special event.
Ideas to discuss with your team include:
- Pamper Party (get your nails painted by your teachers!)
- Meet for Breakfast at McDonalds before school (parents must drive to McD and to school)
- Tech Party after school - students bring tech and play with you for one hour
- Popcorn and movie party after school
- Ice Cream Party off-campus
- Painting or Craft with the Teachers
- Game Time in the Gym after school
- Something even better you come up with! :)
Please have one team member add your information to the spreadsheet at the link below before Spring Break. Thank you! :) PS - it is okay if teams offer similar things!
Superintendent's Fun Run
Saturday, March 2, 2019 is CFISD’s sixth annual Superintendent’s Fun Run and Festival at the Berry Center. The event features an exciting new 5k course - THROUGH OUR VERY OWN TOWNE LAKE, a 1-mile path through Cy-Fair FCU Stadium, family games, vendors, food trucks and fun for the entire community.
The fun run is an excellent opportunity for CFISD employees from every campus to connect and compete in a healthy and fun environment while raising scholarship funds for the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. Last year’s contribution of $100,000 established CFEF’s endowed Superintendent’s Fun Run scholarship, and together we can match this contribution!
Dr. Henry will host a reception with cake and punch for the high school, middle school, elementary school and department with the highest percentage of staff and student participation. Employees who aren’t able to attend the event can contribute with a $10 sleep-in pass, and registration is open now!
