Trip Through The Digestive System
a trip you will never forget
What Will We Experience
We will be travelling through a real life human digestive system. This trip will be showing us what happens when we first eat our food to what happens next.
We will begin our trip through the mouth where all the food gets chewed up and then swallowed. food normally spends one minute in the mouth. We will then travel down the oesophagus which is approximately 25 centimeters long into the stomach. The stomach is a J-shaped organ that has a capacity of about 2 liters. Muscles in the stomach walls churn food. Then through to the liver which is 1.5 kg It stores vitamins and minerals, including iron, which is needed for the production of red blood cells. Then lastly to the small intestine and the large intestine.
