E.A. Johnson HS Canned Food Drive
Help Those in Need In Genesee County
“I’ve had 14 birthdays that were all about me and I would like to make sure that this year that doesn’t happen. I don’t want people starving or going without a meal, and I want to help somehow.”
The Important Stuff
WHAT: Canned Foods and Non-Perishable Items
WHO: EAJ is collecting for Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools Food Pantry, a food pantry that serves Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools’ students and their families.
HOW: Donations can be dropped off to the main office at E.A. Johnson High School. Students will be available to assist with pick-up and delivery of large donations. Please feel free to contact Vicky Hynds to arrange for delivery assistance.
WHY: The spark for the selfless birthday wish came after a Pay it Forward campaign started in February as part of EAJ's think.respect. grant. The campaign is helping to promote kindness among our students and throughout the community.
CONTACT: VIcky Hynds (810) 591-2370
We’ve challenged our students to help fulfill this selfless birthday wish by participating in the collection. The winning class will receive a birthday party in recognition of their hard work.
