IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION FROM THE DISTRICT HEALTH TEAM
School Celebrations (i.e. end of year parties): We all look forward to the time that we can return to many of these traditional activities but unfortunately now is not the time. Washington County continues to see an increase in COVID cases and remains in the “HIGH RISK” level. TTSD believes that school celebrations are intended to celebrate the ENTIRE class, and their families without risk to anyone’s health and safety. And, ODE requires that we, “ Ensure(s) that any recognition, celebration, or ceremony is accessible to every student and family.”
At this time, schools can plan contactless celebrations similar to last year (i.e. virtual or drive thru). All safety protocols must be in place and no visitors on campus at this time. We will revisit this if the County risk level drops to a moderate level or below.
Test Results: We continue to receive inquiries and varying opinions about the validity of COVID-19 test results. According to the public health department, a positive test result is considered a positive regardless of the test or if a subsequent test is negative.
Please see section 3.3 of the Oregon Health Authority’s Investigative Guidelines:
TTSD will continue to follow Washington County Public Health guidelines.
Quarantine Guidelines for Students: TTSD responds to COVD-19 exposures in our buildings and on our campuses as directed by Washington County Health. At this time, schools will quarantine the cohorts of anyone testing positive or presumptive positive for 14 days from last exposure.
Reminder: Please be sure to screen your child before sending them to school.
