LIS Tiger Talk

Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
All staff and students across the district are going through new training this year to prepare them for school crisis situations. Our students completed their first training this week. This comprehensive training incorporates best practices to prepare for a variety of scenarios.
Students attended a training presentation explaining the procedures to be followed in a crisis. This presentation provided age-appropriate information to keep them safe. Students will also practice quickly exiting the building and barricading classroom doors in the next few weeks.
The goal of this training is to make sure students and staff are informed and prepared for a variety of crisis situations. Along with this training, we have comprehensive school safety plans and a Loveland Police School Resource Officer who works in our building.
Please know the safety of our students and staff is our first priority. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
