Biography

Dmitri Mendeleev is a Russian chemist who discover the periodic law. Dmitri was born on February 8, 1834 in Tobolsk, Russia. He then taught at many Russian schools in cites lit Simferpol and Odessa. After a few years of teaching he went back to St Petersburg to get his master's degree. He then became a professor at St. Petersburg Technological Institute and then at the University of St. Petersburg. While teaching Chemistry he made a book called The Principles of Chemistry. Other experiments that Mendeleev attempted was studying the thermal expansion of liquids and natural gases. He stayed in St. Petersburg until he passed away in 1907.
