Scholarship Opportunities!
The Glenna R. Joyce Trust
The Glenna R. Joyce Trust Fund provides an equal number of four-year, full-ride scholarships to The Ohio State University and The University of Notre Dame to outstanding students who live in Franklin and the contiguous counties and who have financial need. Students from 115 central Ohio high schools are eligible for the prestigious scholarship.
To Apply for The Ohio State University Scholarship: Students who are admitted to the Columbus campus as freshmen for Autumn 2021, and offered honors affiliation, automatically become candidates for the Joyce Scholarship. Students must complete the Common Application at www.commonapp.org by November 15th, 2020 and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 1, 2021.
To Apply for University of Notre Dame Scholarship: There is no special application for Joyce Scholarship consideration at Notre Dame, other than the standard application for admission, and the application for financial aid (https://financialaid.nd.edu/apply-or-renew/prospective-students/)
PB & J Scholarship
For students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically (High GPA is not needed to qualify!)
Amount: $500-1,000

2021 Kenneth L. Howard Scholarsip, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc./Columbus, Ohio Alumni Chapter
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a unique organization of college-educated men dedicated to the worthy cause of achievement in all fields of human endeavor. With this purpose in mind, the Columbus Alumni Chapter has sought to identify and fiscally support either local African American male high school students (graduating seniors) or deserving active chapter members (college students) in need of support.
Criteria:
- Male high school seniors
- Applicant should have secured required points (18) on the seven sate end-of-course exams required to graduate.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Areas judged: scholarship, career preparation, school/community activities, social awareness, poise during interview, and financial need.

1) Points Scholarship - $10,000 - 10 Awards (Deadline: November 30, 2020) To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be a high school student planning to attend college in September 2021. 3) Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships - $5,000 - 5 Awards (Deadline: December 5, 2020) To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (kindergarten through graduate school) in the US. B) Have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services. 4) Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards - $3,500 – 180 Awards (Deadline: December 6, 2020) To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021. B) Have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale. Senior Graduation Status Meetings
Now is the time for your one-to-one graduation status meeting with your counselor (virtually). We need to meet with each of you (including Career Center seniors). During this meeting, we will discuss your progress towards graduation, including whether or not you are on track to graduate, and we will discuss what you need to do in order to graduate with your class. We will also discuss your future plans and next steps to help you reach your goals. Please come to these meetings prepared to ask any questions that you have for us.
