What do Air traffic controllers even do?
Air traffic controllers, one of the most challenging but the most important jobs. Air traffic controllers never have a break during their day unless they are done with their work day. Many of times, the controllers don't get a holiday break because they are in charge of making sure that everyone is safe and the planes know when to take off and when to land. Controllers make about 58.91 dollars per hour and have a 6 day week usually which makes them about 141,384 dollars per year. Controllers don't only make sure that the planes don't hit each other, but they also give weather updates for the pilots. When in the towers they use many monitors , radars, computers, and visual references. With all of these responsibilities the controllers have a very important role in safety. (Summary)
How to Become a Contoller
If you're looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career, become an Air Traffic Controller. Air traffic controllers have very many important roles that they must complete each day in order for everyone to be safe. If it wasnt for the Controllers, there would be no saftey at the airport and the pilots wouldnt know when to take off and when to land. So become an Air Traffic Controller today and save many of lives.
Before you can become an Air Traffic Controller, you must complete many steps of going through school and taking many test before getting the job. Depending on how many years it takes you to pass all of classes and test it will take and average of 4-5 years of college getting your assiosates degree. After you have gotten your assiotes dgree from college you must then go through the steps of FAA that they require in order that you know the importance of being a controller. You must be talkable to be able to talk to the other people in the tower to tell them if anything is wrong. You must also be know how to deal with tecnology very well also because al day you are looking at different types of tecnology.
First, Wait for a PUBNAT opening or complete the AT-CTI program that takes you through the steps of what you do while being a controller. In this program you learn how to take the big role of being a Controller. Also you will learn how to use all of the equipment correctly anf =d anything else needed to know when you are in the tower directing everybody.
After you have taken the AT-CTI course you must take the Take the AT-SAT. since you have completed the course already, the FAA has to make sure you remeber everthing you have already learned and how to use the equpment correctly. When you take this test you must get a 70 percentage or above to move on to the next step.
Next Pass the MMPI-2. This test is pretty much about you own personility so that they know what you are like. For example if you are calm, stressed funny, serious so they know what type of employee they are getting.
After you have taken both the AT-CTI and the MMPI-2, you must scedule a confrence with the FAA and one of the managers of the security will scedule an appointment with them. When it is your time to confrence with the FAA, they ask you many questions about saftey to make sure that they know you know that saftey importance of being a controller.
Once you have completed all of these steps you are ready to be a controller. You must find the spot that you want to be a controller and see if there is any chance of getting in and if not you must find another spot. Once you have found the perfect spot your managare will inform you when your first duty is .
To conclude there are many steps to becoming a controler, but in the end it will all be rewarding because you are saving many lives from planes crashing and the pilots knowing what they need to do. So become an Air Traffic Controller today and save many of peoples lives.

Pros and Cons of being an Air Traffic Contoller
There is many ups and downs of being an Air Traffic Controller.Some of the Pros can be that you make very great money depending on how many hours you work each day and how many days you work each week. Another pro is that they are constantly so busy that they are never bored and always are entertained. While there are pros there are also going to be cons. Some of the cons of being a controller is, during the work days you are very stressed because you are dealing with many different planes and weather and taffic all at the same time. Another con of controllers is that they might have to work through holidays because the airport is still open and planes are still flying so they still have to make sure averyone is safe. To conclude Air Traffic Controllers can be great but they also have thier downs.
