The Riebli Record

A message from Mrs. Todd

Dear Parents,

Our community and the world are a different place from when the students left for Spring Break 14 days ago. We are working as a school and district to provide classwork and guidance to help you get through this difficult time. As we have in past crises, together we’ll get through this.

Most of you should have received your packet in the mail by now, if not, please let me know and I’ll figure out how to get it to you. That packet represents approximately 2 weeks of practice work for the students. During this past week and next, we as a staff, and district, are communicating with each other for the best ways to move forward. I understand some of you have heard from your child’s teacher, some have not. We will be asking all teachers to reach out to their students by this Friday, 3/27. If you have not heard from them after Friday, please contact me via email:

If you need a loaner chromebook for the next few weeks, email me as well.

For now, the Mark West Education Foundation Polenta feed, Coloma, field trips and assemblies has been postponed. We’ll look at rescheduling those as soon as we have a better idea of what the rest of the school year looks like. In addition to academics, I don’t want to lose sight of the importance of social connections we have at Riebli. It is what makes our community strong.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me for any reason. In addition, I miss seeing and visiting with the students. I’m happy to hear from them through your email, I will respond.

Warm regards,

Mrs. Todd

Riebli community has always supported fostering the love of reading for our students. During this shutdown, different staff members will be reading stories, via video, to our kiddos. Thank you Ms. Denise for being the first staff member!! More staff to come.

Talent Show news

The talent show is one of our most fun events of the school year. While, we can't meet in person, as they say in the theatre, "The show must go on."

We are going to proceed with a virtual talent show. What is that you may be asking?? Record your talent and send in the file. All the submissions will be compiled into a virtual talent show!!! Just because we are home, doesn't mean we can't show off that Riebli talent!!!!

Submissions are limited to 90 seconds.

If you want to submit something with a friend, use ZOOM to coordinate the talent, record your ZOOM call!!!

If you want to record just yourself, we would love that as well.

Email in the videos to by April 11th.

In the email please include the student(s) name, teacher, and grade.

Same rules apply as the regular talent show. Talent must be age appropriate. Any submission that is not age appropriate will not be included in the show.

I know this is different, so if you have any questions at all please reach out to

Thanks Kelly
