SCS Happenings: September 29, 2022

Saint Catharine of Siena, pray for us.

From One Wildcat to Another....

Registrations for fall conferences have been sent out this week. We encourage you to spend a few minutes with your child's teacher to learn about their progress and how we as a family/school team can set your students up for success. If the times listed are not convenient, please reach out to your child's teacher to request a more convenient time.

We have begun the School Store fundraiser this week. Pamphlets were sent home. Please consider participating in this fundraiser. Because of your participation, we were able to purchase much-needed supplies for our classrooms and STEM program. Mundane items such as binder clips, tape dispensers and tape, glue, classroom timers for diverse learners, and storage units. But we were also able to purchase fun critical thinking and innovation items such as ROBOTS, engineering kits, advanced snap circuits, and maker space supplies. These will add value to our growing stem program. Thank you for your continued participation and support. Spread the word!

Thank you for all you do today, tomorrow, and always. Saint Catharine of Siena, pray for us.

Air high fives to all,

Mrs. Marcella Kraycik

Renaissance Faire Field Trip for Middle Schoolers

A reminder that if there is rain for the Renaissance Faire, the students will need to wear gym uniforms for the field trip. No costumes will be permitted due to the risk of ruin to the costumes. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Dismissal Carline Reminders

To ensure our carline is safe and efficient:

  • Carline at dismissal does not begin until 3:00 or until the last big bus is called.
  • Properly communicate to your student and staff how your child is going home if there is a change in plans.
  • Please have your numbers visible through the front windshield.
  • Due to safety, remain in your car. Staff members will bring your child to you.
  • Train your child to buckle themselves.
  • If this is not a viable option for you at this time, arrive at carline at 3:10 so as not to hold up other parents behind you.

New SCS Logo Opportunity! Please vote!

We have been working with a designer to update our current school logo to, we believe, better reflect our school's image, mission, and message. We are excited to present the following five themed options for your consideration. Please weigh in on your preference below. We would likely use variations of the chosen theme depending on the marketing materials. Any questions, please contact Marcella Kraycik at mkraycik@scsreading.org or Amy Impellizzeri at aimpellizzeri@scsreading.org. Thank you!
