Library Expectations
Library Information
- The Jr. High Library is open before school 7:45 to 8:05 am, during lunches, and after school until 4 p.m.
- Students may check out 6 books at a time.
- Books will be checked out for two weeks.
- Students are responsible for damaged and lost books.
Read Across the USA
Students are invited to participate in a reading challenge. After they read five books from different states they can win a free book.
Jr. High Library Blog
I'll be showcasing information about each of the fifty states on the Jr. High Library Blog so students can learn more about the United States.
Jr. High Library Club
Check out our Library Club blog. We will be having monthly meetings--Book Tastings-- to celebrate different book genres. The first book tasting on Adventure will be Tuesday September 26th in the Jr. High library from 3 to 4 pm. Be sure to pick up a permission slip from the librarian.
Library Catalog
You can access the library catalog from any computer with internet. If you'd like to have a username and password to be able to create holds, check your account, and make booklists ask the librarian to set one up for you.
Utah's Online Library
There are many resources available for Utah Students. Ask the librarian for the home access username and password.
Newspapers in Education
Students can access the newspapers daily through the Newspaper in Education program. They can read The Salt Lake Tribune & The Deseret News. Here is the login site:

AVID & Latinos in Action
We are continuing the AVID and Latinos in Action programs
AVID is a college and career preparedness program. For information about AVID:
