HFRCS Newsletter SY2021-2022
October 5, 2021 - Volume 1 Issue 7
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we begin the month of October, we remember that this month is the month of the Rosary. We will be praying the Hail, Holy Queen in our morning prayers and will be learning more about the Rosary this month in Religion class. Please consider praying the Rosary as a family this month. “Pray the Rosary together as a family. It’s very beautiful and it gives us strength.” Pope Francis
On Friday, we will have our Hawk Walk Kick Off! Classes will learn the color they will be wearing for the day of the Hawk Walk, which is scheduled for Friday, October 22. The online donation platform will open on Monday, October 11. Please see the attached letter for more information on our biggest fundraiser of the year – the 2021 Hawk Walk!
Lunch order forms for the month of October have been received. Please review with your child the days they should be getting a hot lunch. Parents who have ordered lunch for their child(ren) for the year, should also remind their child to go up and get their hot lunch at lunch time. Lunches are ordered according to the number of orders received. Mrs. Prasse has the list of who has ordered lunch, but often, the children appear not to know if they should get a hot lunch. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We want to ensure that everyone who has ordered a lunch, receives their lunch.
Since we are into the second month of school, please be sure your child is wearing the proper uniform. School shoes for boys should be durable black-tie shoes with a non-marking, non-scuff sole OR an all-black sneaker (no contrasting color markings of any kind permitted). Black or white crew or white ankle socks are acceptable (sock must cover the ankle). For girls, black tie Oxford-type OR Mary Jane-style shoe with non-marking, non-scuff soles OR an all-black sneaker with black laces (no contrasting color markings of any kind permitted). If you are having trouble with any part of the uniform that has not come in yet from your order this summer, please let your child’s teacher know. For more specifics on the uniform code, please visit: https://hfrcs.org/PDFs/HFRCS-Handbook-2021-2022.pdf
This Friday, October 8, ALL students must bring a packed lunch as there is no food service in the cafeteria that day. Finally, next Thursday, October 14, there will be an early dismissal at 11:30am.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty

I hope that all of our students enjoyed their day at home!
Please note that enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year will open in January 2022. However, if you are a current family and plan to enroll another child of yours next year, please get in touch with our office at your convenience so that we can begin to accurately build our class lists for 2022-23.
Starting next week, I will begin reaching out to all of our new families to see how their first few weeks at Holy Family have gone but regardless of if you're a new or returning family, please know that my door is always open and I am always happy to help. Thank you!
