Upcoming Presentations!
Third Graders are busy working on an upcoming scholarly creativity project due this week! They each chose a project from four options and they will bring them to class this Wednesday February 10th! We will then take a week to prepare them to show to our audience, and then on Wednesday February 17th we will be ready to show our adoring public! Please make plans to join us February 17th in my portable if you are the proud parent or fan of one of our third grade LBJ SIP Scholars! See you at 1:00 p.m. on the 17th!
Event Information
Food2Kids Volunteer Opportunity
During the coming months, SIP Scholars will have the opportunity to take their family on an adventure in volunteering! Food2Kids is a very special program that allows our community to impact the lives of children in our very town! Follow the link below to find out more about the Food2Kids Sacking Program. From now until the end of school, students who take their family to a Food2Kids Sacking Event and participate in the sacking will receive a Homework Pass for SIP class for the week they attend the Food2Kids Sacking Event! Note: Families must call ahead to RSVP with Rosie Simmons, Food2Kids Coordinator and a parent or guardian must attend the entire event with the student. Students will bring home a special signature page with more information, to record their attendance at the Food2Kids Sacking Event if they choose to attend with their family! Contact Mrs. Brower at 432-456-4739 if you have questions!

Scholars Around the Classroom!!
Pandora's Boxes
This is a picture of an activity we used to introduce Pandora's boxes! Students were given a box with a warning on the lid and they had to decide whether to listen to the warning or to take a big risk! Inside were scrambled words from the story, a very fun activity!
Aidan's Box
Aiden did an amazing job on his Pandora Project, as did all of our scholars! Congratulations! Great Work!
Valerie's Box
Valerie also had an amazing idea to share with the class! Great work on your Pandora Project Valerie!
Chess Club!
Third grade is having an amazing time in chess club each week! Great move R'Yale!
The Island Game
This photo is from a few months back, but fifth graders really love their Island Game time! Students in this photo are role playing a person entering a temple!
Q-Bits!
This is a phrase you hear quite a bit in our class! Students in every class love to challenge each other with this quick-thinking pattern build game. Q-Bits!!!
