House of Representatives

-The officers is elected solely by the member of the majority party, and it is his job to present the majority.

Senate

-Is the real leader of the U.S. Senate- He/She is responsible for organizing the activities

Congressional Qualification and Benefits

Representatives: Be at least 25 years old. They have to be a citizen of the U.S. for the past 7 years.

Benefits: Salary- 174,000. Also has health benefits, life insurance and retirement.

Senate: Has to be 30 years old. Have be a citizen in the U.S. for 9 years. Has to be a citizen of the stat he is chosen from.

Benefits- Receives retirement and health benefits. Senates are covered by the Federal Employee retirement system of civil service retirement system
