A Message from Principal Blair
On Wednesday of this week, JMS held its first PTO meeting of the 2021-22 school year. To date, we have nearly 30 participants planning to attend the next session on Wednesday, September 15, at which time officers will be elected. If you are interested in partnering with our campus through the Parent Teacher Organization, please contact Alison Martone for more information.
This week, teachers met with students to set goals for their Unit 1 Assessment. Together, they will track progress towards their goal, re-evaluating before and after each Unit of study. Students will receive 25 HERO points anytime they meet goals in any core class! We are fostering a growth mindset across the campus this year at JMS!
Join us for lunch on Friday, September 10, as we celebrate Grandparent's Day! Food services will prepare Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Vegetables, a hot roll, and Iced Tea. Meals are $4.00 per person, with all students eating free.
Chromebooks are arriving next week! We are planning to distribute to students on Wednesday during Science classes. If you haven't already done so, be sure to complete and return the Chromebook User Agreement. Our teachers are excited about the opportunity to incorporate digital learning experiences for students in the classroom.
Cougar Proud,
Kelly Blair
