Principal's Message
Dear SFX Family,
This week's newsletter is full of information! Please be sure to read through it all.
Home & School is sponsoring a Free Dress Day this Thursday, October 7 to benefit Nickels for Neighbors, the Archdioscean event to assist families, students, and staff that have been impacted by Hurricane Ida. All proceeds will be used to purchase gift cards, uniforms for students and clothing for adults, as well as other various necessities for those in our family of Catholic Schools. Students may wear school-appropriate clothing of their choice with a $1.00 donation. Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel, no leggings are allowed, and shorts must meet the fingertip rule. Parents will be called to bring alternative clothing if these rules are not followed.
At the Home & School meeting last week, we were able to announce that we were approved to add three full days back to our calendar in order to make up the lost time from Hurricane Ida. These three days ensure that we meet and exceed the required number of instructional minutes for a school year. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DATES THAT ARE ADDED BACK TO THE CALENDAR AS FULL SCHOOL DAYS:
- Friday, October 22
- Monday, November 8
- Friday, February 11
We look forward to a fun evening on Thursday at the Men's Club City Park Night. This will be a homework free night! Tomorrow is the last day to purchase tickets at the pre-sale price! Please remember that Thursday is also a 1:30 Dismissal Day with no After School Care for our monthly Faculty/Staff Meeting.
Have a great rest of the week!
May God bless you and keep you,
Jessica
