Walnut Hill's Lessons & Activities

Week of April 13th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Below you will find recommended lessons, activities, and links to educational resources that can be completed at home with your student(s).

We encourage you to complete one activity per day from each subject area. Recommended daily times for each subject are also listed below.

Be sure to include time for students to read self-selected books, play on their own or with siblings, complete household chores, and go outside when possible. We suggest establishing a daily routine. Flexibility is important and schedules should be based on individual student and family needs.

No Excuses University (NEU)

  • Walnut Hill is now an official NEU school.

  • NEU believes that every student deserves the opportunity to be educated in a way that prepares them for college. When schools exhibit a culture of universal achievement by believing in students, they collaborate around that belief. During collaboration, they align their standards as a team. As teams align standards, they need to assess the standards and manage the data. Then, and only then, can they pursue meaningful interventions with their students.
