HHS Principal's Update: Week 1
Thursday, August 11th
Good Evening HHS Students and Families,
Congratulations Bulldogs, we have almost completed week 1! It's been a great first week back and it has been awesome to visit all of your classes and meet you in person. I am very impressed with all of our students and the dedication we see to our campus. We have very high expectations for our students in academics, activities, athletics and most important, character, and this week has reinforced why we have such high expectations. Great job showcasing why HHS is the best campus in the AV!
We know the first week back poses many challenges including schedule changes, new student registration, as well as just getting back acclimated to our campus. We are very thankful to our students and families for your patience as we all work hard to ensure this year is a great one. Let's keep this positive momentum going and finish week 1 strong and have an even better week 2. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend and don't forget that we kickoff our athletic season next Friday with a home football game vs Paraclete! We hope to see everyone there to cheer on our Bulldogs!

NEW UPDATES AND INFORMATION
Attendance: Be In Class or Have a Pass!
You are going to hear the phrase, Be in Class or Have a Pass!, a lot from us this year as our goal is to not allow students to disrupt the learning environment. Our goal is for every student to be in class, on time, to learn and receive the best education possible. The only way to do that is to be in class. As we previously stated, students out of class without a pass will receive consequences including but not limited to, warnings, parent conferences, citations, loss of athletics and activity privileges, attendance at extracurricular activities and events, and other school discipline. Our goal is for every student to be in class on time and your support is crucial.
Home Football vs. Paraclete HS!
HHS is kicking off our 2022-2023 Varsity Football Season next Friday, August 19th vs. Paraclete High School. This is our first home game, and we need to PACK THE HOUSE! Let's fill our stadium and cheer on our team as we begin a great season! Go Dawgs!
Drop Off & Student Pickup
Before and after school can get very busy for drop-off and pickup. We ask that everyone please follow the posted traffic signs for entering and exiting the campus, as well as not parking in the no parking zones or block local homes driveways. We also ask everyone to please drive slow since many students are walking to and from campus. Safety is our number one priority and if everyone follows the traffic signs drop off and pickup will go much quicker. We thank you for your support.
