Ripon Cathedral School Update
Week ending Friday 21st October 2016
autumn wonderland
year 3 out and about
HACKFALL WOODS
The Reception class' trip on Tuesday was quite a contrast to a few days in London or even a walk around Ripon, but they certainly enjoyed the wonders of Autumn! They stomped through Hackfall Woods experiencing the crunch of fallen leaves, and some squelchy mud as well! We hope you can all get out for Autumn walks in your wellies in the half-term holidays too.

parent forum
Please remember to send back the sheet sent out last week so that we can register interest in the new parent forum and gather ideas for the school's vision. In line with the school's development plan, one area we'd love to focus on this year is health and well-being, which may well include looking at school lunchtimes. But other ideas are more than welcome too!

Say cheese!
Our children always look smart in their uniform, but possibly even more effort was made for our photo day on Wednesday! It was also lovely to see families arriving together for group shots in the evening. Your child brought home an order form which featured proofs of their individual photos. Please remember to send back your orders with payment in the envelope provided by Monday 7th November.
after school activity clubs
Art and Craft Club will start again on Tuesday 8th November and will run every Tuesday. It's £4 a session which is great value as the children always go home with something they have made. Places are available - please let Mrs Bingham know if you are interested.
