Every curriculum unit for our core content subject areas are based on our Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills or TEKS that the State of Texas requires all schools to teach students. These standards outline the major focus of our lessons and activities. 6th Grade Math - 6th grade students will continue to learn about the angle sum of triangles. Students will also learn how to write equations to represent the area and volume of geometric figures. Students will focus on the volume and area of quadrilaterals and triangles

7th Grade Math - The 7th grade math focus will be on two-dimensional geometry. 7th Grade students will examine area of composite figures. Students will also explore how to decompose shapes in order to use geometric formulas to calculate measurements (7.9c).
