Media Minutes

We have just received new books that are on display in the Media Center to check out for students, staff, and St. Patrick's Day Books. We will use the iPads to create and answer questions on spiders and insects. In addition, they will record their voices and draw pictures about the insect or spider book they use. Students will also be trained on using Clips on the iPads.

Artsy Activities in the Hive with Mrs. Wick

In art class, we read the book "Mouse Paint" by Ellen Walsh. Students are learning how mixing two primary colors (red, yellow & blue) makes a brand new secondary color (orange, green, & purple). Students have also been learning about neutral colors (black, brown, white, & grey).

Help Prevent the Spread of Germs

With the weather's ups and downs, we have experienced lots of germs circulating in an around school. If your child is sick, they need to stay at home and not spread germs to their friends. We encourage all parents to wash their children's coats and lunch boxes regularly.

Just a reminder:

  • If your child has a fever, vomiting, and diarrhea, they cannot return to school until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.
  • If your child has lice (live bugs), the student must be treated for lice before returning to school, and parents must bring them in for a head check when they return to school.
  • With allergy season, please help your child practice blowing their nose at home.
  • Water is vital to our health and well-being, and lack of water can impact a child's ability to perform to his/her full potential.
