TEMI: There have been a few questions about teaching to the content of the TEMI-O screener. More specifically, patterns are no longer in the SEs for kinder but they do show up on the screener. The kindergarten TEMI-O 2.0 consists of one test, Mathematics Problem Solving (MPS), which assesses the content in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Although most of the items assess content from the kindergarten TEKS, some items are from later grade levels for advanced students. So, please encourage teachers to teach using the TNT not towards the screener.
STAAR Math Grades 5 & 8 Dates: TEA has announced that it will move the testing date for the STAAR mathematics assessments for grades 5 and 8 from March 30, 2015, to April 20, 2015.
