What we're doing in class this week...
In ELAR, our roots this week are "grat, grac" meaning "thankful, pleasing, welcome." We will also be continuing our novel study with our goals this week of writing two blog posts to include on our final project for "The Crossover". Our final project is website students are making from a character's point of view.
In Social Studies, we are covering the political, social, and economic impacts of the Civil War and the reconstruction after the war.
Math: This week we will measure and solve for the volume of cubes. See your child's weekly Personal Learning Path (PLP) for more information. To see how your child is performing academically, feel free to check their "Progress Monitoring Sheet". You can also check the "Study Guide" BLEND page for tips on how to help your child in math.
Science: We will continue our unit on ecosystems. This week we will focus on the different parts within an ecosystem. See your child's weekly Personal Learning Path (PLP) for more information. To see how your child is performing academically, feel free to check their "Progress Monitoring Sheet". You can also check the "Study Guide" BLEND page for tips on how to help your child in science.
