Birthday/Special Event Food Items
Treats such as cupcakes are permitted to celebrate a birthday or special event during recess or snack time in the regular school day schedule. In consideration of food allergies and other medical concerns, any food items brought in must be store bought so that the ingredients are listed. We also ask that you notify the teacher at least 2 days in advance so any necessary arrangements can be made.
Prohibition on Recording
The visitor policy has recently been amended to include an effort to protect the privacy of all children who attend our schools. It states specifically "Personally owned recording devices are not to be used to create video or audio recordings or to take pictures except with prior permission from the Principal/designee and the affected individual(s)." An exception may be made for events considered to be in the public arena (e.g. sporting events, academic competitions, or performances to which the general public is admitted). School social events for students, activities sponsored by student clubs, and activities during the school day that are not open to the public are not considered to be in the public arena. Thank you for helping us protect the privacy rights of all students. If you have any questions, please contact Garet Wells at garet.wells@woodford.kyschools.us or at 879-4600.
