Monte Vista Family News

Aug. 29-Sept. 2, 2022

Dear Monte Vista Families

It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back to School Night. It was a great opportunity to see what your children will be learning this year and how we can work together. I look forward to getting to know each family better and supporting all students as we learn and grow together at Monte Vista.

This coming Monday, September 5th, is Labor Day. Here is a short video to share with your kids about the meaning of Labor Day. Take the day to enjoy your family and a break from hard work.

Drop off and Pick up

Please make sure that you quickly drop off and pick up in the yellow area. There is no parking allowed. This is for the safety of your child and everyone at Monte Vista.

Noon Duties

Thank you for such a great response. We have a few more noon duties that will hopefully be joining us very soon. We can always use more hands as subs so please continue to let us know if you are interested.

Para Professionals Needed

One of the most rewarding ways to work with students is to support a Special Education classroom under the direction and supervision of the teacher. There are two positions open for Special Day Class (SDC) K-2 aides, and one position open in SDC 3-5, 30 hours a week. Apply HERE.

Going above and beyond keeping a clean and safe school. She keeps the kids cool on hot days, smiles at them, and is always there when a kid needs help. She also made one phone call and within 10 minutes we had 8 translators available for back to school night.
