Gary Bush
A historian by training, but a writer at heart, Gary Bush writes for adults, young adults, and children. He is co-editor of the anthology Once Upon a Crime (a collection of short stories from some of the world’s top mystery authors) and has authored many short stories featured in other anthologies. He is also the author of the children’s novel Lost in Space the Flight of Apollo 13, a graphic novel. Sail into Treachery, the first in the Adventures of Jamie Sharpe young adult historical fiction, is the winner of the Midwest Independent Book Publisher’s award for the best young adult novel.
Jim Hainlen
James Hainlen has taught poetry for close to 40 years. He made his living teaching and conducting orchestra for Stillwater Schools, but being naturally subversive, he always worked poetry into the music classes. Currently, he teaches poetry to selected 5th grade GATE students at Stillwater Middle School for one hour each week. Hainlen is an oil painter, avid bike rider, long distance hiker, and gardner. These things define the good life as long as there is a Miniature Schnauzer named Baron waiting at the door when he returns.
