PSAT/NMSQT Oct. 12
All Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Exam) exam on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The PSAT/NMSQT makes students eligible for scholarships as well as an official practice for the SAT that will be taken in April 2023.
- 7:15am-Students arrive at the gym (standard time testers) (accommodated testers will receive a separate email identifying their testing location)
- 7:30am -Pre administration
- 8:00am – 11am testing including breaks (approximate time)
Students will have B lunch, which officially starts at 11:30am. Students must attend their 4th and 5th hour classes.
Students Should Bring:
- #2 Pencils with erasers (not mechanical)
- Layered clothing (due to fluctuations in temperature)
- An approved calculator - -Information can be found at: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/taking-the-test/calculator-policy.
- Water bottle and snack
Tips for Student Success:
- Get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast.
- Answer every question. Students are not penalized for incorrect answers so they should fill in a bubble even if it is a complete guess. (25% chance to get it right!)
- Narrow down your answer choices. Each option that is eliminated increases their chance of getting a correct answer.
