Week Of October 8th
Highlights From Last Week....
This week we were learning machines!
This week our class read stories about baby animals and their families. Your child discovered ways in which baby animals move, such as hopping, running, galloping, and crawling.
We learned the vocabulary words: movement, adventure, exhausted, exciting and arrived. Our sight word was "we" and we focused on the letter Aa.
In Math, we worked on decomposing numbers with totals of 4 and 5. We wrote numerals 1-5 in order. We worked with numbers 6-8. We learned how to write the numbers and use the numeral to represent a quantity.
In Science, we learned about weather patterns and severe weather.

HEADPHONES: We will be starting our computer based math program during math centers this week. We have some headphones that we can all use, however, if you would like to send in some for your own child, that would be fine. They can store them in their cubbies. Thank you!
