Introducing...

Louise Symons to the CAPCO@HSBC Team

Big image

When did you start at HSBC and what‘s your role and project?

I started at HSBC at the end of November. I'm working as a BA within the Reporting workstream of Project Indigo. For those of you who don't know the project, this is the onboarding of Aviva to HSS

Where are you originally from?

Glasgow

Favourite film?

Crash

Favourite Author?

I'm not really much of a reader but I did enjoy the Stieg Larsson books

If you were stranded on a desert island which famous person would you have with you and why?

Tom Hanks - he would have so many great stories to tell to keep me entertained, plus hopefully he will have learned a thing or two from filming Castaway!

What‘s the most embarrassing song/artist on your music playlist?

Probably Pitbull! I went to Miami on holiday a few years ago and his music is played non-stop there. He was the soundtrack to my holiday and whenever a song comes on shuffle it always reminds me of an amazing trip!

What‘s your favourite sport?

Football

What’s your proudest achievement?

I climbed Ben Nevis a few years ago for charity with my friends work. It was by far one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life but it was worth it for a good cause.

What‘s the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

It has to be Rio. Was completely different from what I imagined it to be like. Such a diverse place with such friendly people and an amazing atmosphere. I wouldn't have expected there to be escalators to the top of Christ the Redeemer!

What else should we know about you, what’s your hidden talent, what else would you like to tell us about yourself?

I have an excellent memory for totally useless information. I am able to remember insignificant details, like what everyone ordered for dinner a month after it. It's a shame it doesn't work for anything useful like exams or learning languages!
