Declaring Independence
A signing that will separate us from Great Britain
The details of this event
The signing took place in Philadelphia in July 4 of 1776. The people signed this because they wanted to permanently be separated from Great Britain. The dangers of signing this document were they put their farms and homes on the line. This document stated three points, the first is unalienable rights (life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) the second main idea was that King George 3 was taxing people without their consent and lastly that the colonists had the right to break from Great Britain.

Hello i am writing to you about the Declaration of Independence from a stay at home mother. I am very upset about this document. I saw that the author wrote that "men" just men?! What about the women that stay at home and do the dishes and the laundry and take care of the kids. I think that women can do anything men can.. Thanks for reading my point of view on this topic...
