Returning to School
Return to School
Our number one priority in welcoming our tamariki back onto our school site is to keep them and our staff as safe as possible. Taking into consideration advice from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and in order to mitigate risk, we will be reducing the number of learners that we have onsite at any one time.
Our plan is outlined below. It is very important that you familiarise yourself with the plan and in particular the timetabled days that your child will be invited to attend school on site.
Plan
Classes will return to school in a staggered manner, following this timetable for the remainder of the school year.
Breaktimes will be staggered.
Learners will have specific toilets that their team of 4 classes will use.
All surfaces in classrooms will be cleaned and sanitised at the end of every school day.
All tamariki and staff will be required to wear a face-covering as mandated by the MOE.
If you choose not to send your child to school, online learning will continue to be offered. Please note that their teacher will be less available throughout the day as they will be dealing with learners at school.
Student Vaccination Register
Student Vaccination Register
As you will be aware the MOE has made it a requirement for all schools to keep a student vaccination register. This is a confidential register which will help to keep our school as safe as possible. In order to gather this information, please follow THIS LINK where you are invited to share your child’s vaccination status. Learners will be deemed unvaccinated if:
The information is not provided
Your child is under the age of 12
Proof of vaccination is not included
Proof of Vaccination - NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME
Currently the online "My Covid Record" is not available to anyone under the age of 16. This has now been removed.
Although an application to the Ministry of Education can be made individually to obtain a vaccination confirmation letter, there is an unprecedented demand for this service. As a result, TNIS will not require you to upload proof at this time.
Please do still complete the Student Vaccination Register Survey to register your child's vaccination status.
We would like to thank you for your cooperation during these difficult and ever-changing times.
Ngā mihi,

Guitar Lessons - Dave Gatman
Hi there! I have taught Guitar to kids in schools for over 15 years. I love working with kids and inspiring the next generation of musicians. I like to make my lessons as positive and fun as possible, teaching a range of songs from traditional folk/blues to the current pop and rock tunes.
I've played the guitar in a large variety of settings, and I'm currently in a covers band playing at weddings, bars and parties.
Lessons are in groups of up to 4 at a time, and cost $20.00 plus gst, for half an hour.
Individual lessons are offered if I feel like the student will benefit from them, and if I have space. These cost $35.00 plus GST per half hour.
Lessons are on Wednesday mornings at TNIS as well.
Feel free to contact me - dave.gatman@musiqhub.co.nz. Or text/call on 021 2221456.
Thanks,
Dave
