ESS Weekly Family Update
Week ending 2/18/2022
Update from Mrs. Weber
What a fun week we had!
Valentine's Day was a great success. Many thanks to the parents who followed the recommendations and sent in items other than food. I appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe and healthy. Thanks to the PTO for the snack and water donations.
The 100th day was a blast-see the photos below! Thanks to Mrs. Ulbrick and the PTO for getting the sign-it looked great!
A reminder to all 4th graders-the yearbook cover contest submissions are due by Thursday February 24th.
Mr. Saranich will communicate any changes to the mask policy in Shelton Schools. The decision about masks is NOT determined at the school level. If you would like to have your opinion heard about this potential change, you can email ksaranich@sheltonpublicschools.org. There is also a BOE meeting scheduled for Wednesday February 23rd at 7:00 at the BOE building on Long Hill Avenue.
Just a reminder that if your child has a fever or is vomiting, they must be 24 hours fever or vomit free before they can come to school. This is a district policy and ensures the health and well being of students and staff.
Any adult should have identification on them at all times when picking a student up. Please do not be insulted that we ask for it-safety is paramount for all students at all times.
Have a great rest of the week and the weekend-see you Tuesday-Mrs. Weber

Our first Titlewish fundraiser was a success! We’re asking you to participate and help us raise another $1,000. We’re going to use this money to purchase books for our ESS Library Media Center. To help us meet our goal, please visit https://www.titlewish.com/1094253 and click the Donate button. The site goes live on Friday, February 4th.
Thank you for helping us provide Elizabeth Shelton School students with the best education possible! It is a great way to honor your child for their birthday or any special occasion or just because you want to help! Your child will have their name placed in a new book in honor of your donation.
