2019 Awards Nominations Open
The Family Business Association Vancouver Island (FBAVI) is pleased to receive nominations for the 2019 Family Business Excellence (FBE) Award and the Young Entrepreneur Award.
The awards will be presented at the FBAVI Awards Gala @ The Union Club, Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Based on recent primary and secondary research completed at Royal Roads University, Associate Professor Michael Thompson and Vernon Fischer of Fischer Financial Services(CFP, Family Enterprise Advisor) have created a three step process that allows a business owner to develop an effective transition “road map” which will add valuable clarity and direction.
Ernest Bednarz B.Com, CMEA from the Malahat Valuation Group, will also join us to discuss the mechanics of how businesses are valued from a practical perspective, cover some of the value drivers that can help increase business value and the steps owners can take to increase the value of their own enterprises over time.

BC Employer Training Grant
Do you have some employee training needs?
The B.C. Employer Training Grant (ETG) provides up to $8 million in funding for employers to support skills training for their current and new employees in the fiscal year 2018/2019.
Due to the popularity of the ETG and limited funding available, employers will be able to complete and submit applications for the third intake starting October 1, 2018 at 9 am.
