KINDERGARTEN
Designing Trash Collectors
Kindergarten students were presented with an environmental challenge: a pond where animals live is full of trash. Students learned about the properties of materials and shapes and used what they learned to design a trash collector that can remove trash from a model pond. These activities take several days to complete. Mrs. Lawrence’s class completed the activities during the month of February while the other Kindergarten classes will be coming to the Lab in March.
