UTC Oxfordshire
Newsletter - 13th November 2020
Dear all
Thank you for your support this week as we implemented our safety measures with respect to responding to Covid. Year 11 were able to access their lessons immediately on Thursday afternoon and will continue to have lessons online for all of their timetable up until and including Tuesday 24th November. We look forward to seeing them back in school on Wednesday 25th November.
On Wednesday Employer Partner Mini BMW joined our whole school assembly to announce the winners of this terms ELP - details are below; I would like to congratulate all the students for their effort and participation in the project this term and a huge congratulations to our winners.
Today is Children in Need and students on site made a contribution and enjoyed a dress down day while some staff were able to put smiles on faces with their ''fancy'' dress (pictures below).
Next week is Anti-bullying week, we will of course be exploring this with students in assemblies and tutor groups, if you would like to get involved you can find out more here
Thursday is World Toilet Day, International Men's Day, what would have been our Careers and Post 16 Options Fair, and our next virtual Open Event for prospective students. While we are unable to host the Careers and Post 16 Options Fair the team have been busy behind the scenes speaking with the organisations who would normally attend to create an information page on our website. A link to this will be sent out at the end of next week.
For Year 11 families who would like to find out more about our Sixth Form offering, please sign up to our Open Event here.
I hope you have a restful weekend.
With good wishes
Sam
