What's to find on Library On-line!
e-learning Week 2 at St. Joseph Catholic School
SJS Library for March 23-27, 2020
Here is my list of the top 5 things I am thankful for this week.
1. Working from home allows me to observe my bird feeders while I work!
2. My cat is happy! He is constantly in my lap! Cozy, but, not practical!
3. My elderly father-in-law lives with us and is happier we are home with him all day
4. I am very thankful that my family likes sending funny memes on the family group text thread.
5. I am aware of the presence of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph everyday!
Can you think of 5 things to be thankful for? If so, jot them down and share them with your friends! Look for and share joy!
What to do this week:
1. Grades 2-6 should check their Google Classrooms for assignments.
2. Be sure you are reading and keeping track of what you are reading and how long you read each day. You only need to record your daily reading ONE TIME each day. Use the log provided by your teacher BEFORE you use the one I have posted below.
3. Check out the new links and videos posted below. The Nat Geo link is so, "Awwww"
4. If you have questions for me, either email me or tune in to one of the live sessions each week. I will be LIVE twice a week for grades 3-6.
5. Pray every day. Look for good things. Remember: You are loved!
Guess the animal!
R & R (Research and Reading that's fun!)
1. These words describe the two types: maned, brown-throated, pale-throated, Hoffman's, pygmy, and Linnaeus.
2. These creatures are like cows: they have a 4 chamber stomach because it takes their bodies a long time to digest the food they eat.
3. The food they eat makes their fur change color!
Do you know which animal this is? .....tap the link below to see your guess is correct!
Want to extend the learning? After reading the information in the link, draw a picture of this animal in its native habitat. How realistic can you make the drawing? Label the body parts, identify the food, and then find on a map where in the world this creature would be found.
Who is this creature? https://www.worldbookonline.com/student-new/#/article/home/ar514740
