HAPPENINGS
We continue to strive to provide the best possible education for your child here at Circle. For those that attended our THRIVE NIGHT activity thank you for a wonderful evening. The THRIVE program is another way we want to enhance the opportunities for learning. Circle has partnered with Butler Community College to provide students with the ability to pursue college credit in over 30 different career fields of their choice while attending high school. This will allow a student to graduate from Circle with over two years towards a degree in their perspective fields of study. At the same time we are initiating a partnership with WSU TECH to provide students an opportunity to pursue college credit in Drafting/CAD, Architecture Design, Carpentry with an emphasis on the aviation industry. We want all our students to #thrivein375. If you have any questions about these new initiatives please contact the counseling office and they would be happy to answer all of your questions.
On February 25, we will be administering the ACT test to all current Juniors. All students will attend that day. The other classes will be participating in various meaningful activities. The Freshman will move through several sessions of engaging activities. I am particularly excited about the opportunity afforded to our Sophomores. They will be attending Butler Community College where they will work towards a National Career Readiness Certificate that will place them ahead of the curve during the employment process. Our Seniors will attend our grade schools and read to our elementary students. Once again we are trying to balance providing a rich and fulfilling traditional high school experience while at the same time turning our students' attention to the future. I am personally very excited about the progressive direction that our school is moving in.
My door is always open to you as parents and community members. If you would like to speak to me please call me at 316-259-7587 or mcarroll@usd375.org. It continues to be a honor to serve as the Principal of Circle High. #thrivein375.
COSLETT'S CORNER
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S INFORMATION
When athletes play a single sport year-round they lack enrichment and experience in participation in other co-curricular activities. Many times single sport-focused athletes find that participation is no longer fun and drop out because of the actions of overzealous coaches and pushy parents.
For most of us, school sports become a collection of personal moments, a mental album of boys and girls growing into men and women. The No. #1 reason for multi-sport participation...To Have Fun; Because You Can!
