Alpha Delta Kappa Newsletter
October 2016
SC Alpha Beta Chapter
Greetings from Lee Anne
This month, as we have celebrated our wonderful organization as part of Alpha Delta Kappa month, I have thought so much about each one of you and the light you have shone on me as a sister. I think back on my growth in our organization and how so many of you have NURTURED me. I recall Martha Sigmon inviting me to visit a meeting long before I was ready to commit to the organization. I remember her sweet encouragement periodically as I found more time as my son got older. I fondly remember Wanda being the chapter president my first year. Even traveling with Pam Cook and Christine Phillips this summer built me up. Those are such sweet memories!
Those memories help me realize just how important it is for us to support our new sisters. We have FOUR of them this year, so far! And we will add one more at our meeting in October. I hope you will sit near them. Invite them to ride to Piedmont District Workshop with you. Make a point to speak to them and make connections. After all, year after year, sisters all across the nation maintain that sisterhood and fellowship with fellow teachers is one of the main reasons they love and remain a part of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Happy Alpha Delta Kappa month!! SHINE ON!!
In sisterly love,
Lee Anne
