More Tiger Mathletes Headed to District Championships!
Tiger Mathletes competed in a mail-in Math League contest the week of February 4th. Out of 68 schools from across the United States, “The Greater Numbers” took 9th place Overall
Sweepstakes in Division 5. In addition, three more mathletes qualified to attend District
Championships to be held in March. They are pictured above: Harrison Kolkhorst, Sean Holstien, and Logan Gramling. They will join Pedro Alvarez, Praveen Lockuliyanage, Daylen Regner, and Jack Weber who qualified for District Championships at a competition held earlier this year.
Math League is a national program where students compete in mail-in or live, in-person contests. The competition has four rounds: Number Sense, Sprint Round, Target Round, and Team Round.
- Number Sense focuses on speed and accuracy. Students have 10 minutes to complete 80
problems.
- Target round, focused on problem solving and mathematical reasoning. Students have six
minutes to complete four pairs of problems.
- Team round, focused on problem solving and collaboration. Students have 20 minutes to
complete 10 problems.
- Sprint round, focused on speed and accuracy. Students have 40 minutes to complete 30
problems in a multiple-choice format.
Congratulations, Tiger Mathletes!
The Wall of Fame for Shoe Tying for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Graders
Once notified of the student's successful shoe-tying accomplishment, we will provide your student with a paper shoe to color, take the student's photo, and then post the photo and customized paper shoe on our WALL OF FAME FOR SHOE TYING!
It's going to be really exciting to see our young Tigers on the WALL OF FAME!

Our clinic needs new or gently used leggings, shorts, and pants
Nurse Hensel, as the keeper of the wardrobe, has reported a need for small, medium and large girls' leggings. She also needs, for boys and/or girls, small, medium, and large athletic shorts and pants.
We would appreciate your keeping Nurse Hensel's needs in mind if you have gently used clothing that your children no longer need. Many thanks!
