Bartley Elementary News

Congratulations to:

Casey DuBuque and her husband Adam on the birth of their 1st child, Kallaway Kate DuBuque, on Monday, January 18th.

Aiden & Austin Mincher (sons of Chris Mincher-FHS), Grace Ousley (stepdaughter of Allen Miles-Bartley), Lane Henley (son of Joel Henley-FHS), Brett Ryan (son of Nikki Ryan-FHS), Izzy Lowe (daughter of Amy Lowe-Bartley), Calli Ballard (daughter of Veronica-CO & Jason Ballard-Maintenance), Bella Yates (daughter of Heather & George Yates-FMS) have all been named as Super Stinger Students of the Month at Bartley Elementary this school year.

Paige Henley (daughter of Joel Henley-FHS), Calli Ballard (daughter of Veronica-CO & Jason Ballard-Maintenance), Grace Ousely (stepdaughter of Allen Miles-Bartley), and Will Yates (son of Heather & George Yates-FMS) have all been named as Musical Spotlights (music students of the month) at Bartley Elementary this school year.

Paige & Lane Henley (daughter & son of Joel Henley-FHS) and Brett Ryan (son of Nikki Ryan-FHS) have all been named as Hornet All Stars (PE students of the month) at Bartley Elementary this school year.

Izzy Lowe (daughter of Amy Lowe-Bartley), Aiden Mincher (son of Chris Mincher-FHS), Bella Yates (daughter of Heather & George Yates-FMS), and Grace Ousley (stepdaughter of Allen Miles-Bartley) have all been named as Artist Extraordinaire (art students of the month) at Bartley Elementary this school year.


Best wishes for a speedy treatment and recovery for Ronald Vaughn, husband of Delora Vaughn, as he fights bone cancer.

Bush Elementary News

Adrienne Ebersole (daughter of Heidi Ebersole-Bush) made the SLIAC All-Academic Team for women's soccer for the second year, and she was on the Dean's list at Westminster with a 4.0 this past semester.

Rachel Smith (Bush 5th Grade) has graduated with her Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Walden University.

Ben Kucera (son of Teresa Kucera-Bush) goes to University Central Missouri and is on the 4.0 Dean's List. Rachel Kucera (daughter of Teresa Kucera-Bush) goes to Jefferson College and is on the Dean's List.

Violet Bratten was born January 25th to Lisa (Bush) and James Bratten. Mom, Dad, and

(especially) big brother, Caleb, couldn't be prouder!

Brandi (Bush) and Joe Hassien are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child,

Joseph Wayne Hassien, on February 17th. He weighed in at 5lbs 11oz and was 19in long!

Megan (FHS) and Joe (Bush) Davis are excited to announce that their family will be

growing! Elliot is expecting a new little brother or sister this August!

Beckett Roger Eastwood was born February 11th to Whitney (Bush) and Blake Eastwood. Mom and dad couldn't be happier!

Allison (Bush) and Derek Clifton are pleased to announce that they are expecting their

first baby this July!

Fulton Middle School News

Congratulations to Wren and Emily (FMS) Cathey on the birth of their third child. Arwyn joins big sisters, Taryn, 5, and Loren, 3. Congratulations!

Dalton Horstmeier, son of Darren and Stephanie (FMS) Horstmeier, has committed to play Division 1 baseball at the University of Evansville in Indiana. The Purple Aces are members of the Missouri Valley Conference. Dalton plans to major in Business/Financing. He has been attending Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri and playing baseball the past year and a half. As a freshman outfielder for the Vikings, he was named to the All Conference and All Region Teams. Congratulations Dalton and family.

Fulton High School News

Congratulations to Sara Glynn (FHS) who recently was engaged! The wedding will be in the Fall of 2016!

Congratulations to Carol Robertson on her retirement at the end of this school year. She is looking forward to more time with the grandkids! Carol is also presenting at the Interface Math and Science Conference this month and at the National Conference of the NSTA in Nashville over spring break.

Condolences to Julie Bower whose grandfather passed away earlier in the school year.

District Staff News

Congratulations to Rhonda Fletcher (Director of Food Service) on the birth of a granddaughter, Chloe Mae Cundiff, on January 16. She was 8 lb. 7 oz and was 21" long! Mom (Tracy Edwards Cundiff-FHS 2006) and Dad, Chase, are doing well!

Tom Tenney (Transportation) and his wife had their 7th! baby back in the fall.

Jakob Hull (FHS 2013), son of Shawn and Suzanne (CO) Hull, was inducted into the Missouri State University Psi Chi (The International Honor Society in Psychology) Chapter in December. Jakob has also been selected to be an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for Intro to Psychology this semester at MSU. He currently has fifty students assigned to his section. Jakob is completing his junior year and is majoring in psychology and economics.

Andrew Snethen (FHS 2012), son of Craig and Karen (CO) Snethen, was recently awarded the Outstanding Service Award for the American Design Drafting Association for 2015-16. Andrew will graduate from UCM in May with a degree in Design Drafting and will begin his career at Burns and McDonnell in Kansas City in June.

Rachel Snethen (FHS 2013), daughter of Craig and Karen (CO) Snethen, was on the Dean's List at the University of Missouri for the fall semester. Rachel is a junior at Mizzou majoring in Elementary Education.

New Staff, continued!

Casey Dubuque and her husband moved to the Fulton area last summer and just had a baby! Kallaway Kate Dubuque was born on January 18. Casey teaches 2nd grade at Bartley. She was raised in Marceline, MO and is in her 4th year of teaching.

Symone Nichols is in her first year teaching 3rd grade at McIntire. Symone is not new to McIntire Elementary--she was the long term sub last year for Sandy Poss. She and her husband were high school sweethearts at North Callaway and have been married since May 2013.
