Graduation/Senior Updates
Parent/Guardian Survey
Thanks to all of the Senior parents and guardians who took a moment to fill out our survey. Your input is greatly appreciated.
We are currently working on hosting some of our Senior Events in the virtual format. We have scheduled our Class Night for May 28th, 2020 at 6pm. More details will be forthcoming when we have them.
Senior Parade! Thanks to the creative minds and hard work of some of our Senior parents we will be participating in a GD Class of 2020 Graduation Day Parade which will take place on the originally scheduled Graduation day of May 29, 2020.
We have extended the timeline for Seniors fourth quarter through the first week of June. Classes for Seniors will end in the last week of May and Seniors can use the extra time (if needed) to complete projects and finish up any lingering assignments. (see timeline below)
Once we have determined our plan for graduation we will set up a plan to distribute caps and gowns to the class of 2020. Our Class of 2020 leaders are currently collecting information to help us determine our timeline for graduation. We will also work with Ms. Cook and the yearbook staff to crate a plan for yearbook distribution.

GDatPlay Looking for new membership
Thanks to the efforts of many, GDatPlay has managed to get this project off the ground and made some real progress. The progress has not been as rapid as we hoped however, and several of the key members of the committee have had their students graduate and move on. GDatPlay is looking for some new members to carry on this valuable and much needed endeavor. No experience is required to participate.
If you have interest in serving as a member of GDatPlay or would simply like more information I urge you to contact Bob Mullins who has so generously donated his time and effort over the past four years. Bob can be reached by email at...

Library News
I wanted students and parents to know about the following resource that begins April 30th. Every week, SYNC offers 2 free YA audiobooks ( a non-fiction selection and one fiction). As long as you download the book to the Sora app, you can keep it forever and listen when you want. They're kicking their summer reading season with 2 excellent books: The 57 Bus and Monday's Not Coming.
For more information, go to: https://www.audiobooksync.com/
As always, if you have any questions, contact Ms. McManus.
