Principal Post

Yesterday, Bloomingdale’s finest came to DuJardin for a luncheon to kickoff National Police Appreciation Week, which takes place May 12-18th. The students enjoyed eating lunch and spending time with their hometown heroes.

Thank you to our PTO for Breakfast w/Teachers and all the other wonderful events for Teacher Appreciation Week - our staff feels so appreciated during this week - and always! We truly have had a wonderful week!

Tonight is Portfolio Night which begins at 6:45 pm. Students are very excited to share their work and show off the progress they have made so far this year. This is an open house format and families are invited to attend anytime during the evening between 6:45-8:15 pm. The 5th graders will be hosting a Bake Sale in the gym. All the proceeds collected from the bake sale will be used to purchase books and book bags for the incoming kindergarten students. The 5th graders will autograph each book which will be given to the students and parents during kindergarten assessment sessions in August.

Tomorrow, May 10th, DuJardin School will once again partner with Junior Achievement and host the eleventh annual Junior Achievement in a Day (JAiD). Junior Achievement volunteers will visit all the classrooms and share activities about community, business, and financial literacy with all of our students. The morning will be filled with wonderful learning opportunities for the students. DuJardin School values its partnership with Junior Achievement and the staff and students look forward to this event each year. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering for JAiD please contact the school for more information.

There will be asbestos removal taking place at DuJardin School this summer. Please see the letter link from Greg Leyden, Director of Building and Grounds, which has additional information about this summer building procedure.
