Dear St. Maria Goretti Catholic School Families,
This Friday, January 21, 2022, the 2022-2023 Tuition rates and enrollment information will be emailed home. Early Bird registration opens on Sunday, January 23, 2022, and runs through Friday, February 14, 2022. Though there is an increase in the 2022-2023 tuition, please know that we remain committed to working with all families to continue the promise of Catholic education for any family who desires one for their children. Tuition assistance is available and we encourage families to apply by the February 28th deadline.
Please mark your calendars for our next Home and School Meeting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

SMGCS Open Houses
Please share the good news of St. Maria Goretti Catholic School with your family and friends who have school-aged children. Save the Date - January 30th Orff Ensemble
Fourth and fifth grade student will be performing “Mallet Melodies” in an Orff Ensemble on Sunday, January 30th as part of our Catholic Schools Week Open House. Students will be playing a selection of songs on soprano, alto, and bass xylophones as well as glockenspiels and metallophones.

SMG Soccer Club - Winter 2022
All Kindergarten - 4th grade students are encouraged to join the SMG Winter Soccer Club. Practice begins January 11th and games begin January 25th. This is a 7 week club which meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30pm - 5:30pm.

Parent Help Needed!
We need help running practices and games during the club season. Please don’t view this club as a babysitting club; we truly need your help to make this successful! You do not need to be well-versed in soccer or have played before. Adult volunteers have the opportunity to earn spirit hours for their time. All volunteers must be up to date on Virtus training. Changes to Mass Hosting Schedule
The Class Mass Hosting schedule has been updated for the year. Please note that second grade will be leading Mass in the spring. If you plan to attend Mass when your child is participating, please consult the new schedule.

The 2022 SMG School Spelling Bee was held Friday January 14th. Congratulations to SMG’s Spelling Champion, Damian Smeragliuolo who will represent SMG at the Area contest to be held later this year. Congratulations also to runner up, Maddy Lester, as well as all our participants!
